Basic Education in the Arts

Basic education in the arts is primarily aimed at children and young people. It is a goal-oriented, progressive form of education, offered by e.g. music and dance schools, schools of fine arts, architecture and crafts, theatre and circus schools, and schools of literary art education.

Basic education in the arts provides students with the skills to express themselves through the arts and the ability to apply for vocational and higher education in the arts, if they so choose.
