Kerava-Sipoo Employment area
Public employment and economic development services (TE offices) will close on 31 December 2024. As of 1 January 2025, operations will be transferred from the state to the municipalities. Kerava and Sipoo will form a joint employment area, which will offer employment services to jobseekers and business customers from Sipoo and Kerava from the beginning of 2025.
Current clients of the employment authority will transfer directly to the new employment areas when they are launched. Clients will be informed of the changes by their assigned experts and the change does not require them to take any action.
New clients of the employment services will get their instructions from the Kerava-Sipoo employment area from 2025. From 1 January 2025, they will be clients of the Kerava-Sipoo employment area instead of the TE office.

The reform requires no action from the clients
Jobseekers or business customers do not have to do anything even though their employment services provider changes. Jobseekers will continue their job search normally despite the change. Individuals and business customers will continue using the E services of Job Market Finland. It has already replaced the TE offices’ websites.
In early January, employment service offices and phone services may be busier than usual. You can and should register as a jobseeker well in advance of the end of your employment relationship or the start of your lay-off. The best way to proceed with your job search is to submit a contact request via the E-services of Job Market Finland online
