Are you thinking about engaging in some sort of physical exercise, or maybe getting fitter – but lack the info on how to proceed, or how to find the right sport for you?
Exercise counselling is a process where people who don’t exercise enough in regards to their own health and wellbeing are directed to physical activities and a more active everyday life.
What is exercise counselling?
Exercise counselling gives you practical tips and support to find and start a safe and enjoyable form of physical activity. The physical activity adviser will help you to increase or diversify your physical activity. During your appointment, we can also discuss other lifestyle issues such as nutrition and sleep, depending on your wishes.
Exercise counselling is a process that aims to promote your overall health and well-being and to make changes that are sustainable and part of your everyday life. After an initial assessment, we work together to develop an individualised exercise plan that takes into account the client’s wishes and starting points. The counselling can take the form of a single or several meetings between the client and a professional. Follow-up and contact methods are agreed with the client at the beginning of the counselling session.
