Public transport in Sipoo is planned and organised by the Helsinki Regional Transport (HSL). Additionally, there is other bus traffic in Sipoo.

Public transport in Sipoo is planned and organised by the Helsinki Regional Transport (HSL). In addition to Sipoo, the member municipalities of HSL are Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo, Kauniainen, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Tuusula, and Siuntio. HSL tickets are valid on HSL-organized transport within the areas of the member municipalities.

There is bus routes from Sipoo, for example from Söderkulla to Porvoo, which operates as HSL U lines. U line services are bus services whose routes extend beyond the HSL area. HSL tickets are accepted on U line buses for journeys beginning and ending within the HSL area. For journeys beginning or ending outside the HSL area, you need a ticket issued by the operator of the route. Tickets issues by the operators are not valid on HSL’s other services, i.e. you cannot change to another bus or another mode of transport. You can identify U line buses by the U sign on the front.

In cooperation with the Uusimaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment and neighboring municipalities, there is bus services from Sipoo, such as routes from Nikkilä to Pornainen and Porvoo, as well as from Söderkulla to Porvoo.

With the seasonal and regional tickets for Uusimaa and Häme regions, you can travel in the Central and Eastern Uusimaa region and in the Kanta-Häme region in the following municipalities: Askola, Hausjärvi, Hyvinkää, Janakkala, Järvenpää, Lapinjärvi, Loppi, Loviisa, Mäntsälä, Myrskylä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen, Porvoo, Pukkila, Riihimäki, Sipoo and Tuusula. The tickets can be used within and between the municipalities in the area for the number of kilometres for which the ticket has been purchased.
