Winter Swimming Place at Taasjärvi

The winter swimming place includes a warm changing room, a hole in the ice, and a jetty covered with a heated snow melting mat. The hole in the ice is kept ice-free with the help of a pump, and the beach area is lighted.

Members of the association Sipoon Talviuimarit have the right to use the place. Sipoon Talviuimarit is one section of the sports club Sibbo-Vargarna rf. Members may use the place freely from September 15th to May 15th each year.

The municipality provides the basic equipment and takes care of safety issues at the winter swimming place. The association and its members see to that the winter swimming place functions appropriately. The users are collectively responsible for cleanliness of the beach itself, and of the outdoor changing room.

If you’re going to the Taasjärvi winter swimming place by car, drive along Tasbyntie until you reach Talvikintie turnout area with a parking lot. The beach is only a short walk from the parking lot.
