Youth Center Nuorkka

Children and youth activity center Nuorkka is a meeting place especially for young people. We arrange a variety of attractions suitable for everyone. Nuorkka welcomes young people to just hang out with their friends, do homework or handicrafts, cook, or just to have a chat with the youth workers. You can also participate in planning of the activities, and to take part in organizing various events such as film nights.

The youth club has for example billiard and ping pong (table tennis) tables, gaming computers and consoles, board and card games, and various musical instruments that are readily available for all young people to use. In addition, Nuorkka has a kiosk of its own, selling snacks and goodies.

The gaming computers are powerful and many types of games can be played. In the music room it's possible to play drums, guitar, base guitar, electric piano and ukulele.

Various clubs, handicraft workshops and other events are organized in Nuorkka during school years. Children and young people may suggest ideas for the events themselves.

The youth club can also be rented by private persons and associations (for example as a birthday venue or- for a meeting). Use the booking system Timmi to check if the date is available. If so, contact the responsible youth worker. Who will advice you on how to book the venue.

When arranging events at the youth club, please note that intake of illegal substances and alcohol inside and in the immediate vicinity of the youth club is forbidden.
